This heavenly 19th century church is the ideal place to stay
for a quiet weekend escape, a romantic getaway or a girls
The church is located near Daylesford, in the middle of spa and wine country and is a perfect place to base oneself to explore the delights of the surrounding area.
Nestled amongst the gum trees at the foothills of Mount Franklin, it’s just minutes from the charming townships of Daylesford and Hepburn Springs.
From local wineries, the mineral spas of Hepburn, the gardens, lakes, shopping and gastronomic delights of Dayelsford to the quaint, old small town charm of Castelmaine and Kyneton.
The Church dates back to the 1860’s and was originally constructed as a non-denominational church for the local farming community.
It later became a Presbyterian Church with monthly services until 1996. It has since been restored to provide charming and unique accommodation.
Much of the original character of the church remains; the magnificent stained glass windows, soaring timber-lined ceilings and the heavy wood doors. Two of the original pews have been found and reunited with its building and the original pulpit has been imaginatively combined into the stairwell, providing a majestic view over your ‘congregation’. At the right time of day you’ll find yourself flooded with colour from the original led light rose window.
